Spares specialist, First Choice Group, has returned to the sponsorship roster of the Catering Insight Awards, once again backing the Service & Maintenance Provider of the Year category for the 2021 event.

This honour will reward those that are blazing a trail when it comes to repairing, maintaining and servicing kitchens, proving particularly vital in pandemic times. The award is open to both specialist service companies and distributors that operate dedicated service businesses.

The winner will be announced at the Catering Insight Awards’ gala night on Thursday 18 November at London’s 8 Northumberland Avenue, alongside 15 other categories.

First Choice Group’s head of marketing Julian Fisher detailed: “First Choice has a proud long association with Catering Insight and the industry’s flagship event of the year.

“We have over 20 years’ industry expertise in aftersales service and support to the service and maintenance sector in particular. From our training centre to our parts and accessory support, stock, innovate technological advances and logistics, we ideally feel significantly linked to this category.”

He added: “As the UK’s largest stockiest of catering spares, cleaners and accessories we want to be at the forefront of industry-leading advancements, particularly for the hardworking service provider kitchen designer/installer and project teams. We want to support the industry and be instrumental in its recovery and growth.”

Fisher said of the awards: “Major events such as this are fundamental by way of recognising all the hard work behind the scenes in maintaining a successful HORECA site for example.

“It a great opportunity to engage and directly participate with all sectors of our great and often unsung hospitality industry, from enhancing and developing our new and existing manufacturer partnerships to spending quality time with our loyal and new customers, and celebrating the achievement of another incredibly challenging year for all of our friends and colleagues in the industry.”

He concluded: “We are most looking forward to putting away the laptops and virtual meeting schedules and getting back to a real-time live interaction with our industry champions in a safe environment, as well as sharing and learning mutual stories and challenges from the past 18 months and how to develop and grow the industry sector as we move into 2022, to best future-proof our wonderful industry and its great contributors.”
