FEM ready to bring Manitowoc’s new ice machine to market following UK launch

Manitowoc has launched its new ice machine in the UK.

Foodservice Equipment Marketing Ltd (FEM) is set to launch Manitowoc’s new generation of ice machines in the UK.

FEM’s team of directors attended Manitowoc’s 2018 Ice Distribution seminar at Oakley Hall Hotel in Hampshire to see the official international launch of its new range, the Indigo NXT.

At the event, Manitowoc focused in on simplicity, sanitation, energy efficiency and reliability, elements which have been incorporated into the new release.

The Indigo NXT features a 2.8 inch reflective touch display to provide easy access for users.

Manitowoc has also included a hinged door, a front facing evaporator and unexposed tubes and wires to enable greater ease when it comes to cleaning the system.

Energy efficiency was another key aspect of the new release, and many of the new models now include the R410A refrigerant, which is environmentally friendly and has 48% less global warming potential than previous models.

All models are AHRI certified and exceed the 2018 DOE minimums for energy usage.

In addition to the efficiency features, Manitowoc was keen on reliability and incorporated a HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Test) to ensure the machines would last.

Following the event, FEM announced the new machines would be available shortly.
