Foodservice Equipment Marketing (FEM) has introduced the Sirman Smart 250 slicer, which is designed to be an entry-level unit suitable for cafes, small restaurants and delis.
Said to be affordable, the slicer is claimed to also be durable and reliable. The body is made from anodised aluminium, which should be strong as well as hygienic.
Although the 250 is compact, it operates a heavy-duty motor to provide consistent results when slicing, and its ventilation design means it can operate continuously without overheating.
The 250 offers adjustable thickness so that operators can choose the appropriate meat thickness best suited to their service. FEM claims that even with excessive use, the slicer’s built-in blade sharpener ensures consistent, quality cuts.
The layout of the 250’s blade and body means it should be easy to clean, and its blade rib guard has been fitted permanently for safety. The 250 also has a removable carriage.
The Sirman Smart 250 slicer measures 480 x 460 x 370mm, with a 250mm blade size. Its list price is £540.
