FEM has added the Alto-Shaam Quickchiller blast chiller to its portfolio.
Available in a range of four models, the Quickchiller’s system is designed to be powerful and work fast, reducing the time food spends in the ‘danger zone’ (57°C to 4°C) and minimising the threat of bacteria growth.
A touchscreen panel, said to be user-friendly, provides microprocessor controls to ensure reliable and accurate temperature control.
A selection of hot and soft chill programming options should make it easy to safely and rapidly chill or freeze food. The operating modes include shock mode, a soft-serve mode for less creamy dishes, a quick-cool mode for coarser dishes, hold mode for chilled or frozen dishes, and automatic defrost.
The four models in the Quickchiller range are claimed to offer a solution for a kitchen set-up of any size. The QCI-20 appliance is the most compact unit with a capacity of 20kg, and with a height of 877mm can be used as a space-saving undercounter option.
The QCI-100 is the largest member of the collection, measuring 1,250mm wide by 1,180mm deep by 2,635mm tall. With a capacity of 160kg and 40 x 1/1 GN pans, it is suitable for an establishment with a heavy output.
The Alto-Shaam Quickchiller blast chiller range starts at a list price of £7,830 (plus VAT) and comes with a 1-year parts and labour warranty.
