The Feed Your Growth event, said to be the one-stop shop for the South East catering industry, went down a treat last Friday at the Southampton Novotel.
From all over Hampshire, Bournemouth, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight, food and drink business owners had the chance to try out product prototypes and samples from catering equipment suppliers such as Smeg, Dragonbench, Valera and Rexmartins.
The free event was hosted by Rangewell, the finance options provider for catering equipment suppliers, as well as local business support services Hampshire Chambers of Commerce, Get Set for Growth, PwC, and Taste of the Wight.
Taste of the Wight co-director David Brooks said: “From talking with businesses big and small across the Isle of Wight, we understand that even with great promotion, there can be many barriers to potential growth and improved profitability.
“We are very pleased to work as a partner of Feed Your Growth, which presents a basket of solutions to enable any business in this sector to achieve more success in the future.”
Other exhibitors at the event included food photographers, alcohol wholesalers, branding and patent specialists, and kitchen designers.
Matt Hinkley, Rangewell’s business development director said: “Our events are always free for food & drink businesses, and we want to help them with more than just making finance transparent.
“We want to connect them with every type of local and national equipment supplier, to help them learn, network and grow.”
