Ian Dance Services (IDS), a catering engineering and installation company based in South West England, has announced the promotion of Jamie Dance to director.
Jamie is the grandson of founder Ian Dance, who founded Somerset-based IDS over 30 years ago.
Jamie, who has worked as an engineer for IDS for the last five years, also takes over from his father Bruce in taking on the director role.
Bruce Dance commented: “It is such a pleasure for us to be continuing Dad’s work by being able to keep evolving and growing as a company.
“As we move towards the changing tides of the catering industry, it’s important that we push the next generation to explore ideas and technologies that keep us at the forefront of catering equipment and commercial kitchen installations.
“We know that Jamie is eager to push us to the next level and our customers just love working with him and the team. Glynn and I are proud to be welcoming him as director and excited to see how IDS continues to grow across the South West and beyond.”
Jamie Dance commented: “There’s a certain pressure attached to moving up a level in the business that I thrive from.
“The knowledge that I am continuing the legacy of our family is something I’m very proud of and I’m looking forward to pushing the business in an innovative direction of the coming months. Watch this space.”
