Scottish distributors and customers of Falcon and Williams put work to one side recently in a bid to claim glory in the pair’s annual golf competition.
The event, which has become a key fixture on the social calendar for channel partners north of the border, was held on the Eden Course at St Andrews and saw 30 players compete for both individual and team prizes.
Kevin MacGillivray, president of the Federation of Chefs Scotland, was declared the winner by a single stableford point, ahead of Phil McQuillan of Cordia, and was presented with a prize of a four ball on St Andrew’s newest course, the Castle Course.
The team prize went to Andy Clark (Cordia) Andy Mathieson (ScoMac) Alastair Stuart (Instant Catering Maintenance) and Steve Leslie (Williams Refrigeration).
Alan Cumming, area sales manager for Falcon and Williams, said: “I’d like to thank everyone involved for making the day such a great success — we had fabulous weather, glorious food, first-class service and some really tremendous golf was played.”
He added: “This event is important as it offers us an opportunity to show our appreciation to our customers for their ongoing support and build upon our already excellent relationships.”
