Falcon BIM drawings total 500

Falcon has revealed that it has now created 500 different BIM models of its products, all of which are available for kitchen designers to download for free.

The brand first announced that it was offering fully BIM compliant models to the industry in May this year, but confirmed this week that all configurations are now accounted for.

Falcon boasts more than 270 products in its portfolio, so with variations for single phase, 3 phase, natural gas and propane gas the number of individual BIM models totals more than 500.

Steve Stenhouse, Falcon’s marketing communications manager, said the company was delighted to be at the “forefront” of the move to create freely available BIM models ahead of BIM becoming mandatory in government projects from 2016.

“These models have been created in Industry Foundation Class (IFC) format and are compatible with all software packages used by designers, including Revit, Autoscheme and ArchiCAD,” he commented.

Stenhouse said the BIM models could be downloaded from Falcon’s own website as well as the CESABIM and CaterQuotes websites.
