The Hotel & Catering Show, taking place from March 11-12 at Bournemouth International Centre, is set to tackle a variety of industry issues through 30-minute seminars hosted by hospitality professionals.
On Tuesday March 11, Michelin-starred chef and restaurateur Tom Aikens will head up the ‘Chef Panel — looking to London’, speaking to local chefs about taking the capital’s current food trends and making them work for your local market.
This will be followed by a second Chef Panel on Wednesday, which will see local Chef Matt Budden of the Bournemouth Marriott Highcliff Grill talk with chefs from across the region about fresh, local produce and seasonal menus.
Industry expert Paul Tansey will be talking all things social media as he hosts ‘Liking the fans – #socialmediaforbusiness’.
Furthermore, Bovey Castle MD Jeremy Rata will reveal how he has created one of the top family hotels in the UK. Visit England director Jenny McGee will chair a panel of industry leaders to examine the prospects for the Hospitality Industry, post-recession.
The ‘MD’s panel — after the storm’ will discuss what the future holds for those business who survived the economic downturn.
A seminar titled ‘Wasting money?’ will look at how helping the environment can also help operators’ bottom line, with hospitality specialist Rebecca Hawkins demonstrating how small businesses can reduce their environmental impacts and costs.
