Ex-Swift salesman joins up with manufacturer

Charvet Premier Ranges has hired Gary Allen from Swift Catering Equipment as its new sales development manager.

He will be tasked with developing Charvet’s business across the country, with a particular focus on the new One series that the brand launched this week.

The dealer-friendly modular range represents the lowest-priced offering that Charvet has ever gone to market with and is aimed at making the brand more affordable to operators that want to use its equipment.

Wayne Cuomo, managing director of Charvet, said Allen provides the company with extensive experience of the catering equipment channel.

“With a long and successful career in catering equipment sales including some of the best-known names in the industry, such as Falcon, Enodis, Electrolux and Servequip,” he said. “Gary’s knowledge and experience with multiple operators is perfect for developing sales of Charvet’s new entry-level One series and the Pro 700 medium-sized heavy duty range.”

Allen said the move was a “fantastic opportunity” in sales development, commenting: “The product range is tailor-made to suit professional multiple operators who want to get the best long-term value from their investments.”

Additionally, Charvet confirmed that national sales manager Ian Clow has been promoted to sales director.

“Ian is outstanding in customer support and development,” said Cuomo. “He has helped the company grow in size and capability, and I am totally confident he will drive the company forward to further success.”
