Ex-Hoshizaki sales chief heads Precision’s push

Precision Refrigeration is aiming to build on its growth in the dealer market this year after bringing in Tim Davis to head its sales operation.

The former Hoshizaki sales chief began his new role last week and has been tasked with leading the sales team and developing the company’s business in the UK.

Davis knows the refrigeration market inside-out having worked as regional sales director for Williams Refrigeration prior to his tenure at Hoshizaki, the owner of Gram.

In the early part of his career he also worked for Burnett’s Refrigeration, where he dealt with public sector customers, and Molesey Refrigeration, where he was responsible for setting up the commercial division.

Nick Williams, managing director of Precision, said he was delighted to have attracted one of the UK’s most experienced refrigeration professionals to the company.

“Tim has been in foodservice refrigeration for his whole career and brings us a wealth of expertise and experience,” he said. “He’s very well known in the market, having dealt with customers at every level, and is an achiever, with a record of sales growth wherever he has been.”

Norfolk-based Precision was founded in 2008 and produces gastronorm cabinets, counters blast chillers and bottle coolers at its UK manufacturing plant.

“Precision is a dynamic, young company with a great reputation in the market,” said Davis. “Its progress over the last few years has been spectacular — not only in terms of sales but also in the product innovation it has brought to the sector. My challenge is to maintain and develop that growth and help ensure we continue to develop the products the customer and our dealer network need.”
