Catering equipment importer and supplier, Euro Catering, has introduced the Grelhaco range of charcoal grills.
The mobile appliances are imported from Portugal, with Grelhaco having 35 years of manufacturing experience.
The design is claimed to be efficient and minimise the amount of charcoal required due to being fully lined with high density fire bricks and insulated with mineral wool, for superior heat retention. Six lengths are available, ranging between 1,000mm and 2,000mm, and two depths – 600mm and 800mm.
Models have been created specifically for the type of food being cooked, with an option solely for chicken. This separates the grill from the charcoal by 240mm, rather than the 120mm on the models for meat or fish, ensuring the chicken is cooked without any flare-up from fats produced during cooking.
A slotted base allows ash to fall into an ash pan, whilst extra charcoal can be stored within an integral drawer.
Spit-roasting food can also be delivered through Grelhaco chargrills with rotating spits, whilst Churrasco dishes can be prepared on a model fitted with between six and 35 rotating skewers, in a one to three-tier Churrasco arrangement.
Euro Catering owner Tim Charlton said: “Al fresco dining is becoming much more sophisticated now it is embedded within British culture. Consequently, eateries are seeking new ways to surprise and delight diners and charcoal grills, spit-roasting and Churrasco cookery are all trends driving the al fresco dining experience. The drama begins the moment the charcoal is lit.”
