E&R Moffat has announced the appointment of a new sales and marketing manager — and he knows the business well having started his career there as an apprentice in the late 80s.
John Wannan says that joining Moffat is “a bit like coming home” given the time he spent with the company initially.
At the time he progressed from manufacturing to the R&D department where he helped develop the first versions of products such as the V-Gen ovens, the latest incarnations of which are still going strong today.
For the last two years he has been working outside the industry with a global cash-counting machines company but prior to that he spent many years at Falcon, helping the redevelopment and approvals of the brand’s successful mid-duty range.
“We’re delighted to have John back in the fold,” says Moffat’s managing director William Moffat. “He brings a huge breadth of expertise and an unrivalled, possibly unique, track record of success in three disciplines: product development, sales and marketing.”
Wannan said Moffat had “exciting plans for the future”. He commented: “It’s great to be back and it’s exactly the type of challenge I have been looking for.”
