Members of the catering equipment industry have been showing their charitable side this morning to mark Comic Relief’s annual Red Nose Day.
Fundraising events have been going on around the country as suppliers and distributors do their bit to help transform the lives of people at home in the UK and across Africa.
Judging by the ‘Twittersphere’, companies have been having a lot of fun (and food!) raising cash on what is the 25th anniversary of Red Nose Day.
At Bunzl Lockhart, staff have adopted a new dresscode for the occasion, according to the company. It tweeted: “@BunzlLockhart are wearing it red today in aid of #comicrelief. Let’s raise loads of money today for a great cause!”
Employees at spare parts specialist First Choice have also ditched the regular work clothes for something a little different.
The company promised its followers that it would be posting pictures later today after tweeting that staff had “dressed up” for the occasion.
Down on the south coast, employees at Bournemouth-based Carford Group have been holding a cake sale to raise funds, while Dawson tweeted that members of its office in Barnsley were wearing red and running a bun sale.
It added: “Our marketing manager Glen has the chef white on and is cooking up a fast food feast for the Dawson office team! @rednoseday fund raising!”
