A new trade exhibition for the high street restaurant market claims it is “well on track” for a successful inaugural event when it launches next year.

Space at the Casual Dining show has been filling up fast, according to the organisers, with suppliers and distributors of food, drink and equipment keen to demonstrate their offerings to one of the fastest-growing parts of the industry.

The likes of Francis Catering Equipment, True Refrigeration, Unox, Robot Coupe, Alan Nuttall, CDG, Halton Foodservice, Nelson Catering Equipment and Fridge Rentals are among the names signed up to the show, which takes place at the Business Design Centre in London, on 26-27 February 2014.

“It really is fantastic to see the way that the industry is responding to the launch,” said Chris Brazier, group event manager at Diversified Business Communications, which also runs the lunch! exhibition.

“When you consider that the UK branded restaurant market is forecast to be worth as much as £22bn by 2018, it’s perhaps not that surprising that so many companies are looking for ways to enjoy a bigger bite of these lucrative out-of-home sales.”

Brazier said that chains such as Ask, PizzaExpress, Zizzi, Prezzo, Chimichanga, Pizza Hut and Carluccio’s have all announced their intentions to send buyers and specifiers to the show.

The event will also include an extensive keynote programme, with speakers from the Peach Report, Propel Info, Horizons, and Allegra Strategies already lined up to give presentations.
