The First Choice Group is set to be the co-host of this year’s ENSE spring conference. The catering spare parts supplier’s Kingswood Lakeside home will stage the first day of the 3-day event tomorrow, 27 March.

More than 60 members of the buying consortium, representing major commercial catering equipment industry suppliers and distributors, are due to assemble in Cannock to network and explore common business interests.

National sales manager for First Choice, Neil Vincent, said: “Hosting the opening day is a real honour for us and gives us the opportunity to not only network but to also personally thank all the ENSE customers for their support and loyalty over the years.

“Over the last 12 months we have transformed the business by listening to what our customers tell us, creating specialist teams who are proactive in supporting the interests and needs of customers across all trade sectors of the industry. Providing such a dedicated customer support ensures people get the help and advice they need when they need it.

“As well as having the UK’s largest stock of catering spares, we also partner with many of the industry’s leading manufacturers. This means our customers not only get direct access to genuine OEM parts but they also benefit from a service underpinned by expertise and knowledge.

“With a range of bespoke delivery solutions which includes Inboot, Bybox and Royal Mail PUDO, our customers also benefit from innovations like the First Choice app which now has more than 5,000 catering equipment manuals on it that people can download.”

Robin McKnight, ENSE’s sales director, said: “This is the first of our bi-annual conferences where all of our members come together to share and explore opportunities.

“The conference follows a tried and tested format, starting with a distributor meeting which this year is being held at the home of First Choice Group. This meeting gives us a chance to reflect on the successes of the last 12 months and outline our objectives for the coming year.”

First Choice partner MKN will also be in attendance at the conference tomorrow, providing the catering for all of the conference delegates.

The second and third days of the conference are being held at the Hilton Metropole at Birmingham’s NEC and will feature 66 10-minute rotational meetings between suppliers and distributors, including First Choice Group.

“Although these meetings are only 10 minutes in length they provide a platform for future discussions,” added McKnight.

The spring conference is followed by ENSE’s autumn conference in September which includes a gala dinner and awards ceremony.
