Buying consortium ENSE has found a workaround to delivering supplier product education throughout lockdown.
With training being one of the key pillars of the group’s strategy since it was established in 2012, it has managed to continue this service online during the coronavirus crisis.
Over the last month, ENSE has been completing two virtual supplier training programmes a week, having already trained hundreds of distributor personnel.
The virtual programme is covering suppliers’ new product offerings, innovation solutions for today’s changing world and seasonal solutions to meet demand once the industry opens up.
The buying group reported that furloughed sales staff have benefitted by learning whist being at home.
The participating ENSE suppliers so far have been: BCR, Blue Ice, Hatco, Marco, Rational, True Refrigeration, Williams Refrigeration, Trak Hupfer and Meiko.
ENSE sales director Robin McKnight commented: “Collaboration between our members is one of the core strengths of ENSE and a well-trained sales professional will inevitably be more successful. The ability to help supplier members train our distributors is one of the ways ENSE delivers results to our partners.”
Sessions will be held online every Tuesday and Thursday at 10am for the foreseeable future. Upcoming suppliers include Valentine/Cuisinequip, Valera, MKN, Nevilles, RH Hall and Granuldisk.
