End in sight for engineer partnership bankruptcy proceedings

Catering equipment engineer partnership Gibbs & Benjamin is in the final stages of bankruptcy.

The Leicester-based partnership entered insolvency in June 2013 but a final creditors meeting has only now been scheduled by bankruptcy trustee FRP Advisory for 4 June in Southfield House, Worthing.

The partnership comprised Keathroy Benjamin and Clive Gibbs, who is also listed as a taxi driver. The two catering equipment engineers traded as Gibbs & Benjamin (The Partnership) from an address in Markfield and were listed as gas fitters on local directory websites.

When Catering Insight tried to call them, the telephone number was out of commission.

A spokesperson from FRP Advisory said: “Bankruptcy proceedings are underway and as this is a partnership and not a limited company, any creditors can go after the engineers’ assets directly.”
