London-based Marlin Catering Solutions has put itself into voluntary liquidation.

The distributor convened a general meeting last month at the Regus meeting rooms in Birmingham, where a special resolution was passed to wind the company up.

At the same meeting, Rachel Ballinger of Birmingham-based Greenfield Recovery was appointed as the liquidator.

It is understood that Marlin had to take these steps due to cash flow issues which arose after a major client failed to pay the dealer.

This then rippled down the supply chain to the manufacturers Marlin had worked with, who were unable to accept re-negotiated payment terms.

Marlin Catering Solutions was set up by ex-chef Mike Joslin and kitchen design specialist Karl Marriott in 2013 with the aim of providing a reliable and professional service to its clients.
