Electrolux targets premium end of the market

Electrolux Professional has formally announced the UK launch of thermaline, its new premium range of modular cooking solutions and braising pans.

The Swiss-built horizontal cooking range is specifically targeted at high productivity kitchens, such as fine dining restaurants and top hotels.

Thermaline combines a range of made-to-measure solutions that can form an island unit in a kitchen, or as a unit against a wall, with a set of boiling and braising pans. The manufacturer says the equipment gives chefs over 40 different cooking options to choose from.

Dealers who were present at the opening of Electrolux’s UK training centre recently got to see aspects of the thermaline up close, but the company has waited until this month to officially roll it out in the UK.

“We are thrilled to be able to launch the new thermaline here in the UK and offer a bespoke solution to the top kitchens in the industry,” said Simon Lilley, hot products category manager at Electrolux. “thermaline has been synonymous with quality in high productivity kitchens for over 140 years now, so the history speaks for itself and the ‘Swiss made’ badge is a real mark of quality.”

Production of the line has taken place at Electrolux’s ultramodern production and competence centre in Sursee, Switzerland. The facility is based on a geothermal concept and has sustainability at its core, a feature which translates into the new range of equipment.

The range includes Electrolux’s patented flush-mounted triple ring highly efficient flower flame burners that are unique to the market.

Other innovations include an aquacooker for multipurpose cooking, a high power charbroiler with a patented efficient gas heating system and induction tops and pass through convection ovens.

“It is the legacy from the experience of multiple generations of chefs and our passion for innovation and sustainability that has enabled us to launch the new thermaline,” added Lilley. “It’s a fantastic solution for high capacity kitchens and the tailored approach means we can create exactly what the chef wants, delivering a complete system with specialist knowledge in each key area of the kitchen.”

The thermaline has been launched alongside the ProThermetic range of braising pans, which come in tilting and stationary formats and include pressure pans and boiling pans as well as a user-friendly high definition touch screen control panel.
