Electrolux Professional has restructured its sales and marketing functions as part of a wider plan to bring its foodservice and laundry businesses closer together.
Electrolux said it has implemented the changes with the view of enabling more “streamlined operations” and an improved service to customers, particularly for those which span different divisions of Electrolux Professional.
Darren Lockley, who was previously national sales manager for the company’s laundry division, will now head up the existing laundry and foodservice sales teams as country manager for Electrolux Professional.
Julie Fell, meanwhile, has been appointed marketing manager for the UK & Ireland, taking responsibility for marketing activities for the foodservice division alongside her previous role for the laundry business.
The personnel changes follow the recent news that Electrolux is closing its foodservice office in Birmingham and moving staff to Luton, where the business will be under the same roof as its laundry operations.
Further appointments will be made within the marketing departments to ensure the continued level of activity across both divisions, according to the company.
Doug Walker, head of region for Electrolux Professional in UK & Ireland, said: “These changes will further help to strengthen the two divisions and improve the customer experience for our existing laundry and foodservice partners. I am certain that there will be positive impact for both divisions in the UK and Ireland region.”
