Electrolux launches 24 hour delivery service


Manufacturer, Electrolux Professional, has enhanced its delivery offering to allow dealers, designers and specifiers access to new commercial kitchen equipment just 24 hours after ordering.

Orders must be placed before 11am to qualify for 24 hour delivery times.

After the launch of Electrolux Express in 2014, the manufacturer says it has reduced delivery times by half, so dealers are able to fulfil demand from end users by giving them access to a selected range of equipment directly targeted at the replacement market, 1 day after ordering.

With its ‘24 to the door’ offer, Electrolux Professional is pledging to minimise downtime for kitchen staff following the manufacturer’s recent survey, which found that the wait for kitchen equipment had had a damaging effect on over 40% of chefs’ businesses.

Darren Lockley, head of region for UK and Ireland at Electrolux Professional, commented: “Commercial catering equipment downtime has the potential to cripple a kitchen team during a busy service, so we have taken it upon ourselves to ensure the delivery of a variety of kitchen equipment right to any suppliers of our products – or direct to their end user – just 24 hours after they have placed an order.”

The Electrolux Express range features dynamic preparation, refrigeration, and dishwashing equipment, including the recently launched E-Flex glass washer.

Lockley continued: “Whilst Electrolux is well known as a complete supplier of new kitchen solutions, we are also able to support those who design, specify and equip commercial kitchens demands when their customers are faced with emergency and distressed replacement scenarios.

“Our recent industry survey examining the state of the catering equipment replacement market found dynamic preparation, refrigeration, and dishwashing equipment to be amongst the most commonly replaced kitchen equipment over the last 12 months.

“As such, we have decided to focus our ‘24 to the door’ initiative around these key equipment areas in order to reassure any suppliers of our products that if an emergency does occur, Electrolux Professional will be at hand to provide a fast replacement to keep any disruption to an absolute minimum.”
