Peter Nordell is to step down as Edlund president and CEO in August.

Edlund is part of the Ali Group, and the equipment giant thanked Nordell for his “many years of dedication”. The group’s CEO and chairman Filippo Berti said: “During his tenure, Peter has been passionate about the brand and has brought it to its strongest position in its 97-year history.

“Today, Edlund brands outpace industry competitors, and are globally recognised and highly regarded for their quality, value and reputation. I would like to thank him for his great dedication, his hard work and the excellent results he achieved during his tenure. I wish him the best of health, happiness and success in his retirement.”

Over the next 6 months, Nordell will work closely with his successor to ensure a smooth handover, including travelling together for important industry meetings and conferences to meet key customers.

His successor, Whitney, joined Edlund in 2002 as part of the engineering team and was named director of operations in 2010. He became VP of operations 3 years ago.

Prior to joining Edlund, he held various engineering positions at companies outside the foodservice industry and also ran his own engineering consulting firm.

He has reportedly been integral to the company’s success through new product initiatives, support and plant operations.
