Manchester-based dealer Easy Equipment has secured £750k of funding to move to a bigger site in Bolton.
The catering equipment business has used the investment package from NatWest to acquire new premises after a 3-year-long search for the right property.
The new purchase follows Easy Equipment’s decision to transport its operation away from Manchester city centre, with the company set to relocate its Ancoats-based team. Having more space should allow the business to stock more items and increase general supplies, while also enabling faster delivery times for customers.
The strategic move is designed to help to bolster ambitious growth plans for the firm, which has been operating since 1985. It will also create up to 10 new jobs for the local community in the next 12 months.
Easy Equipment is planning to expand its product offering and will explore extending the new property with an additional unit in the next year.
Michael Shah, director of Easy Equipment, said: “As a business, we have been ready to take the next step for a long time, having outgrown our former premises in 2018. However, we knew that finding the right property was essential to thrive in the next phase of our business plan.
“With NatWest’s help, we have invested in a property that will be instrumental to our future success, helping us to increase both our customer and supplier databases. What’s more, we’ll be able to further grow our team, offering a number of new jobs and business opportunities for local people.”
Lee Thompson, relationship manager at NatWest, said: “Easy Equipment is a leading supplier of much-needed catering equipment, so it’s essential for the company to continue to operate an efficient and crucial service for the UK’s hospitality sector.
“It has been great to work with Michael and his family to secure the funding required to purchase a property that empowers their impressive growth plans. I’m confident they will continue to be a key player in the local business community and create some fantastic new opportunities.”
