C&C Catering Equipment has confirmed it was recently awarded both the ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001: 2004 accreditations.
As well as demonstrating its commitment to quality practices, the Cheshire distributor insists the standards will serve as “strategic business tools” that will help it to reduce costs by minimising waste and errors.
“The process of working towards gaining this accreditation has enabled us to ensure that the service that we offer our clients is enhanced,” said Peter Kitchin, managing director of C&C. “Having it gives us the tools we need to continue to make improvements and to develop our business in the coming years.”
In order to gain the ISO 9001:2008 approval, C&C had to demonstrate a quality management system where they are able to consistently provide a service that meets their customers’ needs, while ensuring they also meet the applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
The ISO 14001:2004 standard offers a framework for an effective environmental management system. It is used by C&C to improve resource efficiency, reduce waste and drive down costs. Their ISO 14001 accreditation signifies that their environmental impact is being measured and improved.
C&C said company director Ian Berrow was instrumental in leading the project and ensuring the firm met the criteria to achieve both certifications.
