Catering Insight has attempted to contact both the insolvency specialist Kirks and CJ Commercial Catering Equipment Maintenance for comment, but none has been forthcoming so far.

The Dorset dealer was incorporated in November 2002 by director Nigel Vivian, with Janet Vivian listed as the company secretary.

The firm supplied equipment including grills and rotisseries, dishwashers, hot cupboards, food mixers, griddles and fryers.

Its services included repair and servicing, with its team of engineers working on all makes and models of catering equipment including Henny Penny, Lincat and Falcon, covering the south of England.

The team worked with cafes, retail outlets, restaurants and hotels keeping their commercial kitchens maintained.

CJ Commercial Catering Equipment Maintenance also designed and installed commercial ventilation systems.
