Hobson’s Choice has appointed Clive Hathaway as its new project director to focus on the development of professional projects.
The firm, which has branches in Swindon, Bath and Winchester, has specialised in outfitting high-end domestic kitchens and bathrooms since 1977, but in November last year it declared its intent to drive into the commercial market after being contracted to design and install the kitchen for Exclusive Hotels and Venues’ Season, a hotel cookery school.
At that time, marketing manager Graham Craig said: “Historically, Hobson’s Choice has concentrated on the more high-end domestic market. However, in more recent times, larger commercial/developer projects are becoming more regular sources of work.”
Hathaway’s appointment is a continuation of this strategy. He has a wealth of experience and has demonstrated sales success whilst working for kitchen-industry related companies including Gaggenau and Sub-Zero Wolf.
“I am very excited to be working with Hobson’s Choice, a company I have long since admired,” stated Hathaway.
“The role of project director fits perfectly with how I want my career to develop.
“With many years of kitchen and bathroom industry related experience I feel I am well positioned to support and grow the business in new professional sectors.”
Richard Carter, MD and owner of Hobson’s Choice added: “We have been providing an exemplary service to predominantly end-user clients for over 35 years.
“Now, with our three showrooms, Bath, Swindon and Winchester, we are effectively positioned to offer professionals a full, cost effective, high quality service across the South of England, Wales and the Channel Islands.
“Clive brings with him such a range of experience and proven success I am very excited to see how the business will develop in the coming months.”
