A manufacturer that has come up with a food waste solution for the domestic market is hoping it will also be able to find success with parts of the commercial market.
EcoService (UK) Ltd’s EcoSink is a bladeless unit that purees food waste by spinning it at 5000rpm, making it ideal for new property builds and consumers looking for an alternative to traditional domestic waste disposers.
But the company is also keen to take it into the professional market, believing that the system could also benefit “light commercial settings”, such as pubs, cafes, small restaurants and offices.
EcoService says the product is covered by a four-year warranty and available in a range of five types with different power output motors, all with a patented turntable inside.
“For every 1kW used by EcoSink, the material it processes can be used to generate up to 10kW of electricity,” said Stephen Horrey, director of EcoService (UK).
Once food particles have been liquefied by the system, they are washed down the drain into the waste water system.
