Lloyd Catering Equipment has been crowned Cedabond’s Most Improved Member of the Year.
The Rotherham–based distributor was presented with the award during Cedabond’s AGM last week.
Lloyd was formed back in 1956 and has been a member of the buying group for 14 years. It works in all areas of the catering arena from care homes to large brewery groups.
Cedabond managing director, Phil Martin, said the distributor’s performance over the past 12 months warranted its victory.
“In 2013 Lloyd Catering Equipment saw a large increase in sales though Cedabond members and it also increased the amount of Cedabond suppliers it used, which meant a big increase in income back to it from Cedabond.”
In the Most Improved Supplier category, Linda Lewis Kitchens took the honours.
Martin said that LLK was now working with most Cedabond dealers and had been true to their word in reaching and exceeding their turnover goals.
Cedabond also presented Valera’s Kurran Gadhvi with the Bob McNab Charity Award for his tireless efforts in raising money for good causes.
He raised £2,000 for the British Heart Foundation by completing the London to Brighton cycle race and £8,000 for children’s charities in the UK and internationally by running the London Marathon.
At Christmas he worked for the Salvation Army, helping to feed the homeless.
