Design rights for specialist grill up for sale


The creator of a commercial mini pancake grill has put the design rights for the equipment up for sale.

Michael Foley, who owns the licence, has instructed chartered surveyors Eddisons to find a prospective buyer and manage the sale.

His Cleethorpes-based company has targeted food and leisure operators looking for another choice along the same lines as donuts and waffles. The kit can be fitted to vans, trailers and bicycles.

According to the notice of sale, the copper top ‘poffertjes’ grill design has the potential to earn “significant” royalties.

The firm says it is seeking offers in the region of £500,000 plus 15% buyers premium and VAT

The equipment has an official registered design number and LOC number, which is a classification used for the purposes of the registration of industrial designs.
