Denby slashes order processing times


Denby Catering Equipment has linked CaterQuotes’ electronic quotation programme to its own back-end accounting system in a bid to improve efficiency when generating orders.

While the CaterQuotes tool is renowned for helping customers speed up quotations, some of the time gained can be lost when users re-key the order.

Denby has become the latest organisation to tackle that issue, however, by linking CaterQuotes directly to its accounting system.

“We have been using CaterQuotes to generate our quotes for over two years now and whilst this has allowed us to produce professional documents in a fraction of the time, there was always an issue of what happened when these quotes became orders,” explained Tracey Exelby of Denby Catering Equipment.

“The solution was to link CaterQuotes to our accounting system. With the help of the CaterQuotes team, we linked CaterQuotes to our accounting system via their unique interface, which offers me full control during the posting process.”

Exelby insists the time savings have been “incredible” and said she recently posted 19 completed orders, including automatically generated POs, in a matter of minutes.

“Linking CaterQuotes to our accounting system has drastically reduced the time I spend producing POs and posting orders,” she added.

Wakefield-based Denby specialises in the design, supply and installation of catering equipment for commercial kitchens.
