Catering Insight took a look back at the achievements of the UK catering equipment industry over the last 12 months with the Dealer’s Choice initiative.
We put a call out to senior distributor executives to find out what their favourite lockdown launches would be and nearly 300 were invited to demonstrate their ‘Dealer’s Choice’ for products in 11 categories.
In the refrigeration category, 50% of dealers plumped for Hoshizaki’s Gram Compact 220/420.
In January 2021 Hoshizaki launched a revamped version of its popular Gram Compact range – a professional, space-saving refrigeration/freezer portfolio which is designed to give operators a new level of control. This is thanks to the inclusion of Hoshizaki’s smart, advanced controller which provides operators with instant, touch-screen access to the unit’s controls and simplified functions. Operators can tap into hygiene, service and temperature settings with ease and can even adjust the temperature of their Gram Compact model according to the food items stored. This is thanks in-part to an efficient refrigeration system, which together with the new, advanced controller, is designed to deliver safe and superior results.
As with Hoshizaki’s previous Compact range, the new Gram Compact 220 and 420 models are a suitable choice for small kitchens to facilitate safe socially distant working. The Compact 220 boasts a small footprint of 595 x 642mm: which allows it to be slotted under a standard worktop, for self-service areas and for satellite kitchens.
Also ticking the box from an energy efficiency point of view, both the Gram Compact 220 and 420 are Climate Class 4 rated, and can withstand ambient temperatures of up to +30°C. Complete with various practical features such as sturdy stainless steel materials, an automatic de-frost function, removable door-gaskets for easy cleaning, anti-spillage and waste controls, the new Gram Compact range is designed to be safe and easy to maintain, as well as being practical and durable.
