Dealers aim to gain from strength in numbers

YCE features a demonstration kitchen at its Leeds headquarters.

CEDA has received a boost to its membership ranks after six new distributors agreed to join the association, including two that previously had been members and left.

ACME Refrigeration, CaterFix, Cater Kwik and YCE Catering have all joined the association for the first time, while former members Newco and Monarch Catering Equipment have returned.

CEDA was formed more than 40 years ago and now counts almost 100 companies in its membership following the latest additions.

Peter Kay, CEDA director of technical support, said: “Our members are benefiting from the strength of being in an association with a strong reputation for professionalism, sharing best practice and exceeding the expectations of foodservice operators of all sizes, all over the UK.”

He added that the new members would help to reinforce the strength of CEDA, particularly as demand for catering equipment grows the economy improves.
