Cookco, the East Midlands catering equipment specialist, is returning to life under the leadership of its former managing director.
The business was acquired by Catering Equipment Solutions (Peterborough) in 2015 and now CES boss Anna McNamara has persuaded Geoff Riches, who ran Cookco for 10 years, to return with a new team.
Riches (main picture) said it was the “right time” to come back and drive the expansion of the new operation.
“Chefs and operators have missed our expertise and personal service. Cookco has a loyal customer base stretching back for years and their response to the relaunch has been very positive. It’s great to be back.”
Riches’ experience covers catering equipment manufacturing and catering operations including numerous openings as an operations and development manager at The Royal Hotel and Rutland Square Hotel in Nottingham and The Point at Milton Keynes.
He managed the original Cookco for the best part of a decade and developed his own business at CPL Nottingham.
He is joined by catering experts Rachel Roe and Mark Camm, with the trio based out of new offices on Castle Gate in Nottingham city centre.
Riches added: “The new Cookco builds on the catering equipment strengths of the old company and combines that with specialist turnkey expertise covering everything from planning permission for start-up restaurants, to kitchen design, layout and project management, to one-off equipment sales, sundries and service-back up.
“With all our years of experience, whether our clients are based in the East Midlands or expanding outside, we know the area and the best contractors and trades people to work with whether they are kitchen installers, fabricators, plumbers or builders.
“The time is right for a dedicated East Midlands catering specialist, offering in-depth knowledge and free advice on catering equipment and kitchen and front-of-house design, as well as building works and project management.”
