Dawson sidesteps summer factory disruption

Dawson has reminded customers to get their orders in early to avoid falling foul of the annual European holiday period.

The company confirmed today that its Italian factory will close for holiday between August 1st and 31st, as is customary in a number of continental European countries.

Dawson’s MD, Mike Butt, said that if possible customers are advised to place any special orders before June 1 to guarantee delivery.

He said that Dawson would take its usual step of ramping up its stock levels ahead of the break, but warned the situation was more difficult with made to order products.

“This may affect deliveries on these projects during August and early September,” he said.

Dawson said the availability of Comenda, Lainox and Mareno equipment would all potentially be affected by the summer shut-down.
