Dawson has issued a reminder to customers that its factories in Italy will close for their annual break during the whole of August.

While the company is increasing its levels of local stock to minimise any disruption caused by the annual shut down, it says customers ideally need to place any orders before the end of this week to ensure delivery during that period.

Mike Butt, managing director of Dawson, said: “As is traditional in a number of continental European countries, businesses in Italy will be closed during the month of August. Naturally this will affect the availability and distribution of all Comenda, Lainox and Mareno Equipment.”

As Dawson is accustomed to the annual August closure it intends to ramp up the volume of equipment it holds, but Butt noted it would still be difficult to accommodate bespoke orders during that timeframe.

“Whilst we increase our levels of stock, some products are made to order. Therefore we cannot guarantee availability during August and early September,” he stated.

If possible, dealers are requested to place orders before June 8th to guarantee deliveries. Orders placed after this date may not be able to be fulfilled.

The factories in Italy are expected to resume normal production schedules from September 1st.
