Dawson Food Service Equipment has kept a low profile for the last year or so, but the Barnsley-based supplier is now emerging from a major restructuring.

MD Nick Falco explained: “The Ali Group as a parent company, along with our brand stakeholders initiated a restructure at Dawson MMP.

“This was a consequence of the brands we promote wanting to offer more support and professionalism to our network of distributor partners.”

The biggest impact and changes occurred within the firm’s sales team but it also anticipated a knock-on effect of uncertainty in its administration and service support teams.

“Change always brings with it an element of uncertainty; however credit must be given to the entire team at Dawson for taking the changes in their stride,” praised Falco.

“Without doubt, every member of the team understood the challenges we faced with the restructure and worked tirelessly to ensure our client base continued to receive the highest level of customer service possible.”

With each Dawson-managed brand (Comenda, Lainox, Mareno, Rosinox and Rendisk) now having its own team, Falco believes the changes have been positive.

“The strategy of sales by brand has shown quickly that we can provide additional value to our distributors with this specific route to market,” he said.
