Specialist Italian manufacturer Cuppone has given its pizza ovens a brand new look to mark its 50th anniversary.
The company, which claims to have the largest range of commercial pizza ovens in Europe, hopes to celebrate the milestone by growing its business in markets such as the UK.
Cuppone is distributed exclusively by Linda Lewis Kitchens in the UK and it claims the brand is flying, with strong demand from gastro pubs helping to boost sales by £125,000 versus its previous financial year.
Managing director, Linda Lewis, says that while she expects the interest from gastro pubs to continue, there is enough variety in the range to appeal to all food operators that want to incorporate a high quality pizza oven into their offering.
“There are seven different pizza oven ranges in Cuppone’s repertoire,” she explains, “from the entry level Tiziano ovens all the way up to the spectacular Giotto ovens. And there are more than 40 different options available, so there’s something to suit every establishment.”
Lewis says that the stylish design of the ovens means they are ideal for front-of-house locations.
“Our best-selling oven overall is the LLKTZ7202 from the entry-level Tiziano range as it is perfect for takeaways, cafes, pubs and small restaurants,” she said. “The deluxe Max range of ovens is selling very well to larger restaurants, particularly national chains. It has a revolutionary heat regeneration system to ensure the minimum loss of heat when the door is opened.”
Cuppone was founded in 1963 by three brothers: Lorenzo, Luigi and Paolo Cuppone. The company is based in Treviso and claims to have pioneered many developments in the world of commercial pizza equipment, including being the first company to introduce electronic power to the control boards of the ovens in order to guarantee energy efficiency and uniformity of cooking.
