Culimat plans dealer road trip with Edlund


Culimat is taking to the road next month to provide dealers with a taste of what Edlund food preparation equipment can do for their sales.

The company will kick off its tour in the north of Scotland and then head south as part of a schedule that will see it visit 20 distributor partners in two weeks.

Culimat plans to showcase the full range of Edlund electric and manual can openers, which are designed to improve operational efficiencies and reduce labour costs.

“With a focus on sustainability and cost savings ongoing in the UK, we felt the timing was right to educate the market on the wider range of can openers from Edlund,” explained sales and marketing manager Brian Lavelle.

“For example, the standard time to open a can by hand is approximately 20 seconds but with the Edlund 270 electric model it’s open in four seconds. However, most operators don’t know other solutions exist out there so we felt it was important to educate the industry.”

Edlund created the first commercial can opener over 95 years ago and today its range encompasses a number of lines.

It offers electric can openers capable of 150 cans per day right up to high volume hydraulic units that can exceed 400 cans a day.

All of Edlund’s products are also available to view at Culimat’s London showroom, which can be accessed by appointment.
