Oil filtration supplier Vito has struck a resell agreement with Cuisinequip that will widen the availability of its products in the UK.
The move gives Cuisinequip free reign to distribute all of Vito’s equipment through its broader dealer network and via sister company Valentine.
Iain Addison, director of Vito UK, said the partnership is designed to open Vito to a new customer base and expose Cusinequip to its own database, thereby growing each other’s businesses.
“When Cusinequip is quoting its fryers against other companies which include built-in filtration, the Vito is a more effective and cost-effective solution for the end-user, plus it filters oil to 5 microns (70th of a human hair) and not a gravity filter through a mesh wire. It is a win-win situation.”
Valentine Fryers stands to benefit from the tie-up by allowing customers to specify filtration.
Sales director, Steve Elliott, said: “We see Vito as a complementary product to the Valentine fryers; it give customers an extra dimension to be able to condition their oil and save money whatever type of fryer that they use. The majority of Valentine fryers in kitchens do not have filtration systems, but with Vito they can have this facility without the expense of changing the fryer.”
Elliott added that the partnership should lead to reduced oil consumption in kitchens with Valentine fryers in future. It will also mean less waste oil to transport at the end of its life. “It is good for the customer and good for the environment,” he said.
Valentine customers will be able to purchase all of their Vito needs via Cuisinequip, including spare filters, while the equipment is covered by a 2-year warranty.
Vito’s Addison says he is delighted with the agreement as the company has been working towards a partnership with an established fryer manufacturer that understands the importance of filtration for some time now.
“Our systems differ from the conventional built-in gravity-fed filtration,” he explained. “It is pressure filtering, meaning fine micro filtration removing 95%-99% of the carcinogenic acrylamides found in cooking oil. A singular Vito machine will filter up to six fryers one after the other using the same filter paper while the oil is at cooking temperature and only takes five minutes per fryer with no manual handling or decanting oil from one fryer to the next.
“There are some premium fryer manufactures that have developed a more sophisticated system than the gravity filtration but they come at a premium price which is not in the majority of kitchen designers’ budgets.”
