Chemsford-based tableware manufacturer Creative Retail Display has launched four new melamine crockery collections inspired by either Asian style or natural stone.
The first is the Shakti Stone White range, which takes influence from Indian Shakti stone temples to create the stoneware.
Another Asia-influenced range is Raku Kyoto Grey, which is designed to replicates the shimmering surface of traditional Japanese glazing methods.
The third one is the Bali Water Blue series, inspired by the deep blue seas of Indonesia.
All three collections’ round plates are available in 230 and 270mm, and a square plate version of 260 x 260mm.
Completing the new quartet, the Larnaca Sand Blue collection reflects the natural world, as it has been developed to mirror the effect of swirling sand as the leitmotif across the plate surface.
The series’ melamine bowls are available in three sizes: a coupe bowl of 240 x 50mm and another of 185 x 40mm, plus a curved bowl of 144 x 141 x 70ml.
Items in each series include round plates, square side plates, oblong plates, coupe bowls, curved bowls and a dipping dish.
All collections are claimed to be suitable for casual dining restaurants, cafés, outdoor catering and pool side dining due to their shatter-resistant properties.
Creative Retail Display says that the tableware can be used for presenting a range of dishes and cuisines, from starters and appetizers to main courses and desserts, and that all of its plates have a unique and subtle texture.
