Craven pops up to help the British Legion

Yorkshire-based catering equipment fabricator, Craven, has assisted the Knaresborough branch of the Royal British Legion by storing its poppies.

Craven’s MD, Angus Milnes, reported: “For some years the branch has struggled to store their stock and had been operating out of a 20ft container in a local transport yard. Unsurprisingly this was proving ill-suited for the job.

“Once I became aware of the storage issue, I decided to give something back to the Armed Forces community who risk their lives for our country.”

Therefore, Craven now provides the Legion with free storage space and storage facilities, including a number of the firm’s Zinc Chromate 4 Tier Shelving Bays.

The Legion’s branch chairman Paul Darley commented: “It’s made a huge difference. Now my colleagues and I are able to work in a clean, warm, dry environment. The shelving has also made stock control far more efficient. Craven has helped make our worthwhile work a little easier.”
