Craft Guild boost for light equipment brand

Light equipment manufacturer Microplane’s products have been given the thumbs-up by the country’s leading chefs’ body.

ICTC, the UK distributor of Microplane, confirmed this month that its Gourmet Series graters and Premium zester tool have just been officially endorsed by The Craft Guild of Chefs.

Microplane has been producing professional graters for almost 20 years and its products were put through “extensive testing” from the Craft Guild prior to it receiving the endorsement.

A panel of testers sampled the company’s Gourmet Series, including the fine, coarse, extra coarse and ribbon blade, as well as the Premium Classic zester.

Microplane claims to offer the sharpest graters in the business thanks to a patented process which uses chemicals to create the finest cutting surfaces. The blades are manufactured in the US, where it is based.

Norwich-based ICTC, which stocks the range in the UK, provides a selection of professional cookware and kitchen textiles. It also serves the retail markets.
