Court flies high with Meiko install

Court Catering Equipment has installed a Meiko K200 VP rack transport dishwasher capable of processing up to 210 racks per hour for Laker’s Bar & Restaurant at Southend Airport.

“Southend expects to carry 2m passengers by 2015, some 5 years earlier than originally planned,” said Court Catering Equipment’s design and projects director, Andy Fitzwater.

“We chose the Meiko K200 VP because it will keep pace with the growing passenger traffic through the airport. It is backed up by a Meiko DV80.2GiO machine installed in the bar area which handles the glassware.”

Acquired by the Stobart Group in 2008, Southend Airport introduced Laker’s in April. Open daily from 4.30am until the departure of the final flight of the day, the 180-seat restaurant created 25 new jobs.
