Court Catering to top 25% turnover increase

London-based catering equipment distributor Court Catering Equipment looks set to post more than a 25% year on year turnover increase at the end of its financial year in April.

Nick Howe, Court’s MD said: “We enjoyed the spike that the universal free school meals gave us – there was a lot of business. We had a projection last year and we’ve exceeded that by quite some way.”

However he is not so sure that the same volume of work will be available this year. “It’s not certain, as budgets won’t be released until the next government comes in, which won’t be until May.”

Nevertheless Court’s orderbook is looking good, with a lot of educational work already scheduled for the school holidays in July and August. The firm is also working on projects for Bone Daddies ramen bars, patisserie chain Le Pain Quotidien and a new boutique hotel in Notting Hill for Living Rooms.

“If we can consolidate on what we’ve achieved this year during 2015/6, I think that will be a good position to be in,” Howe added.
