Merseyside-based Counterline will pop the champagne corks this year after revealing that 2013 marks the 30th anniversary of its formation.
The counter and display equipment specialist, which boasts a 1,500 squared metre production facility, has installed products in almost every type of foodservice business in the UK since it was formed, including restaurants, coffee shop, hospitals and supermarkets.
Counterline intends to mark the milestone by unveiling a raft of new products that it has been building over the past six months.
Neil Coombes, director of sales at Counterline, said: “We have an extensive range of heated, refrigerated and ambient display products as a core range. The growth expectation this year will require an aggressive approach to the market so there is no better time than our 30-year anniversary to showcase the new products that have been under development over the last six months.”
One of the major highlights is the addition of an eco-friendly floor-standing model to its popular Experience series.
“Each shelf within this heated unit has its own controller, so you can hold different products — such as soup or porridge and then breads and pastries — within the same cabinet,” explained Coombes. “Every shelf also has its own heat sensor or heat probe to hold it to the correct temperature, whereas a lot of the competitive alternatives are just hotboxes basically. This is very different.”
Counterline was taken over by its current management team seven years ago and in that period it has also grown its business overseas with jobs in places like Australia and the UAE.
Tim Flood, managing director and owner, said: “We have seen great growth over the last few years, especially in export and bespoke counter projects. We will continue to invest in this area of our business.”
