De Buyer, the French specialist in professional cookware and pastry utensils, is looking to grow its business this side of the Channel after appointing a sales agent for the UK.
The company has struck an agreement with Signature FSE that will see the Kent-based outfit market its products to UK distributors.
De Buyer has been manufacturing products since 1830 and follows the principle that professional chefs have different requirements for materials and products, depending on their cooking technique or cuisine speciality.
Its cookware range therefore includes products made from stainless steel, copper, iron and aluminium. De Buyer has also developed a wide collection of pastry utensils, from silicone moulds induced with metal powder for better heat conduction to perforated stainless steel tart rings.
Signature FSE director, Paula Sherlock, said the partnership with De Buyer comes at a time when the brand is spending heavily on improving its operations.
“The company has recently invested into a new production site to match demand, as well as offices and a brand new showroom, which includes cooking facilities for training and testing purposes,” she said.
