Cookware brand changes commercial distributor

Eddingtons has obtained the exclusive rights to distribute the Lodge cast iron cookware brand to commercial customers in the UK.

Eddingtons has been selling the renowned US brand into the retail market since 2005, but has now been given responsibility for handling trade sales as well.

According to Eddingtons, Lodge was previously supplied by commercial distributors Transworld Specialties Inc (TSI) and, more recently, VISION.

Roger Murphy, managing director of Eddingtons, said “We believe the addition of the commercial business to our existing agreement is testament to the great service levels we have provided to UK retail over the past eight years.”

Lodge has been producing cast iron cookware from its foundry in the USA since 1896. It remains a popular houseware brand but also enjoys strong sales into commercial kitchens.

Berkshire-based Eddingtons has traditionally specialised in providing kitchen products and cookware to cookshops, garden centres, gift shops and housewares retailers.
