Contract caterer Host Contract Management has revamped its senior executive team with a slew of new faces appointed to national sales and operational positions.
Alan McDonald has been brought on board from Elior to run Host’s Scottish business and he will oversee operations and sales north of the border. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the contract catering business and has previously worked for Sodexo.
Ex-Baxter Story execs Paul Blacker and Jon Fassam have also joined the company, with Blacker named operations director for the south and Fassam taking on a regional operations manager role.
Two former Aramark sales heads — Martin Jones and Dave Croshaw — have been recruited to bolster Host’s UK sales team and they will report directly to sales director Andrew Scott.
Meanwhile, Tim Priestman has been promoted to operations director for the north and Donna Debenedictis has been elevated to senior operations manager.
Bill Toner, CEO of Host, insists the company has assembled a team of people who know the market and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to their roles.
“Our aim is to deliver on the promises we make, become an extension to our clients’ team, be approachable and to work with our clients in providing the catering service that they want,” he commented. “I’m confident our new-look team will deliver this pledge and enable us to carry out our strategy for growth in the UK.”
Host was formed by ex-Aramark CEO Toner eight years ago and now boasts more than 85 public and private sector food service contracts. It is based in Hampshire and employs 550 staff.
