A components firm with historic links to the catering equipment sector has fallen into administration and all employees made redundant.
Middleton & Cruddas, which is better known as Elland Metal Spinning, had been trading for more than 74 years from its Halifax facility, but the impact of the pandemic on its business proved too much to bear.
It supplied a range of components in steel, aluminium, stainless, brass and various alloys.
The parts it produced were used in catering equipment and ventilation systems, as well as domestic appliances and light fittings.
Yorkshire Business Desk reported that Booth & Co has been appointed as the administrator of the business, which employed 15 members of staff.
An online auction of the company’s machinery and business assets is due to take place tomorrow.
